The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce held the 2011 Chamber Installation Dinner on Tuesday, January 18th, at the American Legion Hall in Ottawa. Our emcee was Eric Siewert, and entertainment during the cocktail hour and dinner was provided by Charlie Doepker. A delicious dinner was catered by the Red Pig Inn. Our speaker, Kay Frances, MBA, America's Funniest Stress Management Specialist, gave a motivational and hilarious presentation, "The Funny Thing about Stress" which reminded us of the importance of managing stress, keeping a sense of humor, and taking care of our health. Incoming officers of the OACC were sworn in and outgoing members thanked for their service to the Chamber. The 2011 Business of the Year plaque was awarded to JB Machining owner, John Blankemeyer. |
